Clara's Art Gallary

Clara has started drawing 'people'.  Here you can see our gallary (the fridge) covered with her latest creations.  The top one is a picture of her grown up, Clayton grown up and Daddy.  The one below is Daddy, Mommy, Clara, baby Clay, and George the cat.  I love how she can now verbalize to explain her drawing to me... cus' without her help I usually get them wrong.
In Clayton news he cut his second tooth yeasterday.  Now he has both center bottoms.

Macon Children's Museum

So the day started out with the arrival of a Metal Chicken that turned out to be the Hess Family.  We decided to take the kids to the Macon Children's Museum so they could tear that place up instead of one of our houses.  They had an amazing time.  There was lots of pretend play...

Royalty is something you are just born with...
Even Clayton found some of the exhibits just his size
Clayton enjoyed riding in the minivan because he could laugh at mom crammed in the backseat between Aidan and Marian's carseats.
Clara doesn't look so sure about eating the squash that Marian has prepared.
I call this one: Two Mermaids Waiting for a Bus

And of course: Two Mermaids Making Change
  "We didn't Start the Fire..."
Clara made sure that Flat Dad wasn't left out of the fun.

Clayton's First Tooth

Clay has cut his first tooth.  It is his bottom, right, center one (sorry for not knowing my proper tooth designations Aunt Sue).  It certainly helps explain his fussiness the last few days.  He has also pretty much given up the belly slither crawling for true up on hands-and-knees crawling.

We are all super excited because Patrick is coming home next Tuesday.  He graduated his railroad conductor certification program today (with the highest marks in the class).  But he already has homework assigned for the Locomotive Engineer program he starts July 11th.  We'll have him home for about 4 days then he's headed back to Sacramento until Nov 19th.  It is such a long time.  I'm hopeful that I can take the kids out to visit him at least once during that period since he'll be too busy to come home.

I just hate that he is missing so much of Clayton's babyhood, but on the bright side it is forcing me to be more diligent about the blogging.  Can't let Dad miss out on a milestone like a first tooth!
