Well, we’ve reached three months already. Clayton is really coming along. He is now much more cognoscente of his surroundings. He watches everything and smiles at the slightest provocation. He can sit up tall and proud with assistance and can now roll over from back to tummy.
Our biggest problem now is that he can’t roll over from tummy to back. So he’ll roll over and get himself stuck on his tummy, then start to fuss or cry when he wants rolled onto his back. In fact, his favorite time to roll over seems to be in bed at night, and this had led to an increase in wake-ups. He has been waking himself up on his tummy about 3-4 times a night. Then he gets himself all worked up and I have to nurse him to calm him down and back to sleep.
He has also been enjoying his bouncer and activity mat more lately. He has started to reach and grab at the toys more on the mat. And the bouncer puts him at a good vantage point for watching Disney Jr. and PBS kids shows with Clara. I hate that he is already developing a TV habit, but having them both focused on a show is the only way for me to keep them happy and out of trouble long enough to make the beds/do dishes/wash clothes/etc. At least it is educational.
Clara is enjoying being a big sister more and more. She loves to make him smile, and she imitates me all of the time like a little mother.
She still loves to wear tiaras all of the time, and has assumed that Clayton must share her passion. At least she shares... here she is with 'King Clayton'. Poor baby. I know someday I'm going to be held accountable for subjecting him to pink tiaras, but for now I'm just happy that she is sharing.
